Outside SalesRepresentative – Electrical Industry

Position: Full-Time Outside SalesRepresentative

We arelooking for a motivated, relationship-driven Outside SalesRepresentative to join our team. As an electrical manufacturers’representative, we partner with leading manufacturers to provide electricalproducts and solutions to distributors, contractors, engineers, and end users.

The idealcandidate is a self-starter who enjoys building relationships, developing newbusiness, and working closely with customers to find the right solutions fortheir projects.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with electrical distributors, contractors, engineers, and end users throughout the assigned territory.
Promote and sell our portfolio of electrical manufacturers and product solutions.
Identify new customers, projects, and sales opportunities within the territory.
Conduct regular customer visits, product presentations, trainings, and jobsite meetings.
Work closely with electrical distributors and their sales teams to grow manufacturer product lines.
Develop relationships with electrical contractors and help identify upcoming projects and product opportunities.
Assist customers with product selection, specifications, quotations, and project needs.
Follow projects and opportunities from initial identification through quotation, order, and completion.
Coordinate with our inside sales team and manufacturers to provide excellent customer service and timely follow-up.
Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide updates on opportunities, projects, and territory activity.
Attend industry events, trade shows, manufacturer trainings, and customer events.
Stay knowledgeable about manufacturer products, competitors, market conditions, and trends within the electrical industry.

Qualifications

Outside sales experience preferred; electrical industry experience 5 plus years required.
Experience working with electrical distributors, contractors, manufacturers, or manufacturers’ representatives is preferred.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple customers, projects, and opportunities.
Self-motivated and comfortable managing a territory independently.
Strong follow-through and a customer-first mindset.
Comfortable learning technical electrical products and presenting solutions to customers.
Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/sales tracking systems.
